One of our goals at Gabby’s ARK for 2016 is to form working relationships with other rescue groups in the metroplex. The first alliance of the new year is with the SPCA of Texas Perry Campus located at 8411 Stacy Rd., McKinney, Tx.
In addition to dogs and cats, the SPCA of Texas Perry Campus has a livestock component that includes horses, donkeys, miniature horses, pot-bellied pigs, and others! The SPCA of Texas takes in most of their livestock through cruelty seizures and compliance surrenders. Once the animals arrive, they are rehabilitated under a veterinarian’s care, evaluated to see what training they have, and placed up for adoption. All livestock available for adoption can be viewed at spca.org/livestock. For questions and to schedule an appointment to meet their livestock you can call 214-461-1933.
Gabby’s ARK will work as a transfer partner with the SPCA of Texas to provide rehabilitation for animals that are too sick or old to be adopted out. Hopefully, we can help bring sick, neglected, or abused animals to the point where they can be re-homed. Some of the animals from the SPCA of Texas Perry Campus are shown below.
