Help Raise Baby Bella
On Labor Day, Gabby’s Sanctuary ARK acquired Bella, a 3-month-old female quarterhorse. Bella was orphaned when a stallion attacked her mother, a winner of $35,000 in prizes at the racetrack. Since then, Bella has not gotten the nutrition that she would have received through her mother’s milk, and is undernourished and fragile. Bella was also born with a hernia.
Because of her rough start in life, baby Bella has special needs: nutritional supplements, special feed, and veterinary services. She will need a lot of TLC over the next few months, which she will receive at GSA. After just a few days, she is starting to look more energetic, has gained some weight, and is getting comfortable with being handled (although she does have a bit of an attitude when it’s time to go back inside the stall).
You can make donations to GSA through PayPal on this website. Give us a call and come out to meet Bella!

A Letter to GSA’s Volunteers and Supporters
To all GSA’s volunteers and supporters.
We had a great time at the Horsemanship Clinic and Fundraiser on Saturday, June 7, 2014 and raised some more money to help rescue five more horses and pay for some vet bills. Thank you to all that participated, and to all the people who came out to support us.
We really appreciate the Purina horsemanship (Robert Liner and his team) demonstration and the folks from the Circle L 5 Riding Club who brought their horses, showed us their moves, and let us ride.
Robert Liner has also offered up a staff and volunteer safety clinic and a 3-day horse training workshop.
Without your efforts this would not have been possible. I look forward to the upcoming GSA reception that will be held September 25, 2014 at 320 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas Texas.
Also, I will be donating most of the items left from the Horsemanship clinic. Also, we have rescued a dog Ms. Sweetie who’s name was changed to Zola ( the shy One). Zola ( Rat Terrier) was rescued after GSA’s Terry Ottley fed Zola for four months at Cedar dale and Bonnie view, Dallas, TX. Zola was injured by movie box app download horses that stepped on her and broke her leg. Needless to say GSA’s made sure Zola was taken care with an orthopedic surgery cost of over $2,500.00. Zola has a foster family Meril, Mark and Evan that have fallen in love with Zola. Now we need to pay the bill.
Thanks a million from all the cats, dogs and the horses.
Back In the Saddle Again
Gabby’s Sanctuary ARK is requesting your participation in our upcoming 2nd Annual Horsemanship Clinic.
Gabby’s Sanctuary ARK is back in the saddle. Gabby’s Sanctuary ARK (GSA) has overcome last year’s theft of all of our tack. The Pierson’s provided GSA with saddles, blankets, hay bins, reins and much more to get us back to where we need to be. Thanks to CBSDFW for airing the story for community support. We can ride again. Thank you! We have relocated to Rollin C Ranch located at 1916 N. Westmoreland Rd. Desoto, TX 75115. We still need to obtain our own land however; I believe you bloom where you are planted. GSA has rescued four horses Major, Jango, Star and Curly. Star has a new owner, Davis. Jango and Major (28 years old) are both sponsored by Carol Davis and family. Curly is being sponsored by his owner. The facility is beautiful and a very healthy environment for the horses to thrive. Patrick, a new horse is being delivered April 26, 2014.
My key volunteers Kyndall and Deane Broussard have assisted me on the weekends and I am very thankful for them both. Mrs. Stewart, our 75 year old volunteer loves horses and is a mentor to Kyndall who is planning to go to school on an equestrian scholarship. GSA is encouraging her in every way that we can. We love Kyndall. We try to cowgirl-up after cleaning stalls and feeding horses.Gabby’s Sanctuary ARK is excited about building a bridge download asus smart gesture for rescued animals and families to cross from hopelessness to hopefulness through our rescue operation coaching, on the job training and community outreach services. By collaborating, we make a powerful difference right in our own back yard in transforming lives. We have acquired more horses and provide care for a horse that was neglected by his owner because they just did not know how to care for the animal. We are looking forward to your support for the upcoming 2nd Annual Horsemanship Clinic. It is greatly needed within our community that is growing greater and greater with neglected animals. We need participating partners like you to support GSA and provide the needed assistance that many within our community and beyond so desperately need.
