The answer is yes you can!
When GSA brings in horses like Baby Bella it takes a lot of love and care to properly care for her. Yes, we receive a lot of volunteers’ hours but, we have to buy the feed and supplements. We have to pay the vet to check her and give shots and medications. Last year, GSA spent over $50,000.00 for horse care only. We are all volunteers and do not receive salaries!
Today GSA is asking for help. The Annual Horsemanship Clinic is planned for June 13, 2015. That is only 3 months away and does not leave much time to prepare. We depend on the Horsemanship clinic to buy hay and feed for the year. We also raise funds for veterinarian bills.
How can you help?
Go visit businesses and restaurants. Ask managers for gift certificates and raffle prizes. Buy any item and donate it. We are also implementing a program to adopt a horse. Prices to start at $40 – $50. The price is based on what is included in the packages. The base packages include a certificate with the adopter’s name, a biography of the horse and a photo. Another option is a 20-minute tour and introduction to your horse at a higher level.
Finally,
Will you donate $10 or $20? Can you help GSA in preparing for the upcoming events this year? The events include the Annual Horsemanship Clinic, the safety class and Sundown over Dallas Reception.
Please do not just read this.
