Charles Caldwell is a native Texan and animal lover, especially horses. He was born with a love for animals, but his love of horses emerged on a trip to a ranch with hisparents at the age of 9, when he rode a horse for the first time. Growing up, school and sports didn’t afford him much time for riding. After high school, Charles attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where he rode occasionally at local stables. After graduating in 1994 with two bachelors degrees in Business Marketing and Political Science, he returned to Texas and worked as a financial analyst for an oil company in Houston. In 1996 Charles moved to Dallas to attend law school at Southern Methodist University and graduated in 1999 with a Juris Doctorate degree. Charles Caldwell has been practicing law for over 15 years and specializes in civil litigation, real estate law, and business law. Looking for an outlet to fulfill his passion for animals, Charles began volunteering with Gabby’s Sanctuary Ark in May 2013, and has served as its President since 2015.
